Looking for toys for kids can be a mine field, there are simply so many on the market today and kids have so much in the way of toys, that knowing what to buy can be difficult. If you gave kids a choice of toys, girls are more likely to opt for something pink and fluffy, whilst boys are more likely to head towards the isle which is home to the Dinosaurs

games. Dinosaurs and games have been popular since the movie Jurassic park which was initially released in the early 1990’s. Some toys and games have never aged, and are just as popular now as they were when they first came out. Lets take the Barbie doll for instance, invented in 1959, has been a popular favourite with generations of little girls. The great thing about Barbie is that she has literally hundreds of different outfits as well as loads of accessories including a horse, caravan and fantastic Barbie home. Ken, her ever faithful partner, also has a whole host of accessories too, this toy has certainly stood the test of time and is just as popular now, as it was then.

Another toy which has stood the test of time, from a boys perspective is the Action Man and while kids still play with this figure, there are also other toys and games which are also going strong. Monopoly, has been a firm favourite with both adults and kids, and while there are many variations of the game now available to concept of the game is, however, still the same.

Outdoor games have also progressed, and trampolines have become very popular with most people with kids now owning a trampoline. The great thing about trampolines, is that they are fantastic for fitness. Other outdoor toys which have stood the test of time, are skipping ropes, hula hoops and bikes. Things have however changed and there are loads of kids who now own scooters, which have become as popular as the bicycle in current years.
